TLDR : Answer Summary
When a work permit is canceled in Thailand, you typically have 24 hours to leave the country unless you obtain a 7-day extension from local immigration. This extension requires a letter from your employer and incurs a fee. The required actions also depend on whether you're on a visa or an extension of stay, and it's important to have any necessary immigration stamps to avoid fines or complications in the future.
, You need to weigh in and say if you're on a VISA or on an extension of stay.

After it got cancelled you have 24hrs to leave country. If you have letter from your employer you can extend 7 day at local immigration but you pay 1900 for 7 day extension.

if your work permit is cancellation letter was submitted and it indicated the date of your last work day. legally, your permission of stay (if your extension /permission is based on being employed on that company), is cancelled. but you need to go also to the immigration office to have it "stamped". some immigration doesn't care about this permission of stay void stamp. but some do.... in other words, if you intend to work again under a different immigration that cares about it, they will either fine you for overstay or will not allow you to get an extension because your previous permission was not stamped "properly"... example, samchuri square requires this stamp when doing extension and will ask you to go back to your previous immigration office to stamp it in.

a Work Permit lets you work in the country. How long you can stay inside Thailand depends on your Admitted to Stay gotten with a Visa or Extension of Stay. So please tell Us if you have a Visa and going every 90 days to the border or do you have an Extension of Stay and make 90 days reports at Immigration. Just as example, a picture of the difference:

You have to cancel your extension of stay that day. You can get a 7-day extension I think.
If you are still on the business visa stamp, you have until that day.
