TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry discusses the possibility of applying for a new Non-B visa while holding an existing work permit and visa that have been extended. Comments suggest that while one can use the current Non-B visa for a new job without cancellation, it is generally advised to secure a new visa before canceling the current work permit and extension. Coordination between the current and future employer is crucial to avoid penalties for overstays, as failing to properly cancel extensions before leaving the country can result in fines.

If you do it that way it won't affect you getting the new visa, or comin' back into the country on that new visa

BUT

even if you stamp out on your current extension, get a new visa, enter the country on it and then go to cancel the old extension you will be charged 500baht a day (the overstay fine) for NOT canceling your extension correctly BEFORE you left the country to go get your new visa. Depending on how fast you can pull it off you're going to have fines to pay when you go to the immigration office

then get the paperwork to go get a new Non-B from a thai consulate from your new employer,

THEN

Get the letter of termination from the place you work now, GO cancel your work permit, then go cancel your current extension, then leave the country, go to a thai consulate and get the new 90 day single entry Non-B.

Hang about, are you wanting to leave the country and BUY a new 90 day Non-B visa from a thai consulate OR are you trying to just cancel this extension and get a new extension INSIDE the country at the immigration office?

There's no reason to get stressed out

What did your current immigration office (or the immigration office that you would use for the new company) say when you went in and asked them IF you can just cancel this current extension with paperwork stating you're stopping work for that company and immediately apply for a new extension using documentation from the new company?

IT CAN be done, but it takes coordination from BOTH the former employer and the soon to be new employer to cancel your existing extension and then apply for a new one.

Thanks for uploading the picture of this Extension of Stay. There is an extra Thai text underneath followed by some English. I can not read both, hopefully

as you can see the extension has the name of the place you work for listed at the top in thai :O

It also says you were issued this extension under Clause 2.6 of the police order

which is this reason

Current visa and work permit can be used to another school

But it’s illegal

If you want to have a new work permit, return the previous one but before that secure a letter from former employer to ask permission allowing you to use old non b at the new school

Can you please take a picture of what you like to call a work permit visa, or the stamp that is done as extending visa a work permit, You have to understand that to work in Thailand you do need two total different things. a Work Permit from the Ministry of Labor, which has the name of your employer, place of work and your details inside as proof that you are allowed to work. And next to this a passport from your home country with a sticker called Non Immigrant B visa or a stamp from Immigration Office called an Extension of Stay based on working inside Thailand in it. Mixing the names does make it almost impossible to give correct Thai visa advice. Here you can see the difference in a visa and an Extension of Stay:

What you're probably saying is, if you can continue using your current non-b visa to your new school, that way you don't have to go to Laos to get a new non-B. Yes, you can, many of my friends did just that, as long as your new school knows how to do it.
