Hello Admin,

I am currently holding Non-Imm B Thai visa and traveling to Australia coming week for good. I have resigned from my company, but my visa stays valid till 21st December 2018.

If I don’t cancel my visa and let it expire on its own and next time I apply for any other visa to Thailand, will I have to face any issue from the Thai Consulates?

Really appreciate your wise advice.

Thanks in Advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user holding a Non-Imm B Thai visa inquires about the implications of allowing their visa to expire after resigning from their job and traveling to Australia. They seek advice on potential issues when applying for a new visa in the future. Responses clarify that while the user does not need to worry about problems with Thai Consulates, they must officially cancel their Work Permit and Extension of Stay to avoid issues with the Immigration Office for future visa applications.

On the last day of work you have to cancel your Work Permit and your Extension of Stay. You can both do in advance to make travel plans. No, you will not get into problems with Thai Consulates but with Immigration Office when you apply for new Extension of Stay.

Thank you for your reply.

I have confirmed my resignation last Friday. And I am Leaving Thailand on coming Wednesday. I was worried that If I leave Thailand with out cancelling my Extension visa? Since, I stayed in Thailand 5 years, I would surely love to come and visit here. So I don’t want to face visa issue for not cancelling my work permit, when I apply for new visa from Outside Thailand.

Not sure what you mean with relaxed, you do know that if you resigned your job, your Extension of Stay based on working became invalid that day. Officially you're on overstay if you just stay in Thailand.
