What options do I have after my work permit cancellation and current Non-B visa extension?

I'm in the process of switching jobs and having a Non-B visa right now, extension of stay which is valid till 3 July, from the old employer.

My old work permit was cancelled 2 February.

Initial plan was to get all paperwork needed for work permit from new employer done by this time, but for now it's not ready yet.

What are my options here?

1. Cancel current extension of stay, pay for overstay since 2 Feb and apply for "Covid visa", and then re apply for Non-B again? If so, my visa was issued in Chonburi, but now I am staying in another province, so to cancel I should go to Chonburi IO and then at the same day to IO where I stay now to apply for Covid visa?

2. Will it work out just to wait till I get new work permit and with all paperwork go to IO on 3 July (or earlier) and apply for a new extension?

Thanks, any advice is much appriciated.

So, on Monday I did my TM30 report. Landlord haven't submitted anything into the system, so IO insisted I bring him in person ("Thai people should come we need to tell them about your visa"). But after I told them he is 79 years old they agreed if I just get his papers signed.

Tuesday, cancelled my extension of stay. Immigration officer who is dealing with Non-B visas said that because I overstayed in their province I should apply for 60 days covid extension there as well, doesn't matter where my TM30 has been filed. Paid the overstay fine, was sent to another counter to apply for "60 days", and immigration officer there said if I don't want to go back and forth after "under consideration" time it's better if I do 60 days and pay for overstay where my TM30 is. Alright then, refunded the overstay fine.

Today, succesfully applied for 60 days extension. Had to show things like electricity and water bills, because "Tambon" written in the Tabien Baan is different with what it should be in reality (house I rent is literally on the border between two Tambons, so thats where I guess someone from the Tambon Department made this crucial mistake). For today it was okay, but next time, I was told, they won't accept it - landlord have to fix it.

What a week! Thank you again

Your extension of stay is cancelled the day your work permit is cancelled. The overstay fine is 500THB a day.

> If so, my visa was issued in Chonburi, but now I am staying in another province, so to cancel I should go to Chonburi IO and then at the same day to IO where I stay now to apply for Covid visa

You may need to formalize your cancelled extension of stay, if you don't have it actually cancelled yet. You'll have to go to Chonburi immigration.

>Will it work out just to wait till I get new work permit and with all paperwork go to IO on 3 July (or earlier) and apply for a new extension?

No. Each day you are overstayed is 500THB. After 90 days, you will be blacklisted for a year.

Yes, it's not cancelled yet. But after I do this, where to apply for Covid extension? Am I correct it should be done at the IO where my address is registered?

You would apply for the 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19 at the immigration office where your TM30 is filed. The immigration office may request a TM30.
