Will I be rejected for a Thai visa application if one of my bank statements is under 500,000 baht?

I'm currently way over 500,000 baht in bank account, but 2 months ago I was very slightly under. When I show my last 3 months bank statements, one of them is under. Has anyone been rejected for that? Should I just wait another month before I apply?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about applying for a Thai visa given that their bank statements from the last three months show a period where their balance was slightly below the required 500,000 baht. Community comments suggest that the decision may depend on the specific embassy's policies, with some embassies being stricter about the seasoning of funds. Users advised waiting until the balance history meets the requirements, while others mentioned options like the DTV Visa available in the USA that has different requirements.

curious, why did your teeth fall out? First person I’ve seen try to get a DTV for dental implants.

Awwwh bless you! You went to search through my profile and found it was locked to stop gimps like you cherry picking photos and such like!

Tell me, how did you feel when all you could gather were previous comments of mine in this group?

Now, Im curious as to why you felt the need to tell everyone you have WAY OVER the amount required 😁

Did mummy let you open your birthday gifts early too? 😅

Haha, I'm actually genuinely curious. Did somebody punch you in the face or was it cavities? I'm just curious to see if my guess is right.

WHY didn't you apply for the DTV Visa while you were in the USA 🇺🇸 ?

They require US $16,000 BUT recent balance of statement is ok. And the DTV easy to get in the USA.

For what purpose for the DTV Visa are you applying for ?

Workcation or soft power activity?

That answer is VERY important.

I’ve been living in Asia for almost a year already. It’s for Workation. Freelancer.

September statement $15,400…

But August and October $18 - 20k range. And November will be higher.

If you not have the 500k that's needed on at least the latest statement, why even try ?

you're the one saying, depending on the exchange rate 🤔

Anonymous participant 440 current balance is way over 500k baht. Just 2 months ago I am slightly under at today’s exchange rate.

@Kevin *****
a friend was approved with his final balance over 500k. The other months it was under 500. But that was about a year a go in Vietnam.

If you apply at an embassy that requires 3-6 months of seasoning, then you will be rejected. There are embassies that approve on just the final balance of 500K.

I have a US passport. Currently in Japan. Deciding which country to fly to to apply for this. Which country would you recommend?

@Kevin *****
Vietnam approves on final balances as does Taipei which is very close to Japan..

I think those countries from my research in this group ask for 3 to 6 months of bank statements - sometimes in the additional documents request. You’re saying even after I submit my 3 to 6 months of bank statements that they ask for, the 500k requirement will only apply for the latest statement? (For Taiwan and Vietnam)

@Kevin *****
I got my DTV from Taiwan, with a week old deposit. submitted 6 mths of statements with a final balance of 500K THB, other months were way less. You can find recent approvals from Vietnam detailing less than a month deposit of 500k. Email Taipei to double check, they usually respond in a day or 2.

Depends where you apply

I have a US passport, currently in Japan and deciding which Asian country I should fly to apply for the visa. Which country would my situation work?

For that 1 month I meet the 500,000 THB depending on the exchange rate, I’m right at the line. Right now at current exchange rate I don’t.

@Kevin *****
You should top up your account a bit above the exchange rate to even out any drop in rate when you apply,

currently I’m above 20k… I just mean on month of September, my bank statement closing amount was ~$15,400. Actually on the closing date in September 31 that counted as 500,000+ baht. But then exchange rate changed.

So even if Taipei asks for 3 months of statements, it's okay, as long as my last statement is above 500k? I'm booking my flight to Taipei now.

@Kevin *****
Manilla approves with just a final balance of 500k. Someone just approved there with one month of the funds banked.
Andi ***********
@Kevin *****
Yes, that has been the case when i applied and long after. Double check it has not changed thouigh, i have not heard it has. Also look at the posts abouit applying in Taiwan. They are very particular about what they want.
Stefan ******
Yes, that's no good, don't give them any easy reason to reject you. Wait until you have the required history and apply then.
Andi ***********
@Stefan *****
It depends where they apply. There are plenty of embassies who approve on just the final balance as 1000s of posts in this forum show.

💯 example I applied in Australia, and my funds were only in the account from the day before, also didn’t show a bank statement only a proof of balance letter

what passport do you have? You Australian?

@Kevin *****
There are a few embassies that don't require this, Taipei being one of them, last time I checked. It's been a while since they switched to the e-visa system, but when they were doing walk-ins, they weren't enforcing a minimum number of months. It's been called a difficult embassy, but I think they just prefer a certain type of applicant.
