Can the fluctuation in the exchange rate impact the approval of my DTV visa application?

Hi all! I have a question for you, I applied for the DTV visa which one of the requirements was to have 500k baht liquidity, so I attached the document the bank statement in which I certified that I have € 13,577 where on the day I applied 500k baht were worth € 13,545, my concern is that between yesterday and today 500k baht are now worth € 13,600 so it exceeds the threshold of my bank statement, my question is: could this thing cause my visa to be rejected? Thanks a lot!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about potential rejection of their DTV visa application due to fluctuations in the exchange rate affecting the liquidity requirement of 500,000 baht. Comments from other users suggest that minor exchange rate changes are unlikely to result in rejection, but there is some debate on the trustworthiness of bank statements and whether historical spending will be considered in the application process.

Basically they checked documents on the day when status changed to pending approval

After this noone will recheck currency and rates at all.
Aake **********
They always look at the current exchange rate, not how the exchange rate a week, a month ago

If you are applying online in Italy then you could ask the embassy what exchange rate they are using, usually embassies publish exchange rates at fixed time intervals (unless there is a major change) they don’t change them every day. If you have already applied then I guess you’ll find out…..
John *******
They are probably not doing a conversion rate every day, but hope whatever rate they are using fits what you have. If not, you will be rejected

That's probably not gonna work.

you mean that could not be accepted correct?

correct. I think they'll have to be strict with the money.

£11k GPB was sufficient in my case, pdf of closing bank statement.

Thai bank letter acceptable only .

and exactly how would you have a Thai bank account without already having a stay permit in Thailand? Your information is not only wrong but also completely illogical as you apply for a visa outside of Thailand. It’s as if you apply for a Schengen visa and you have to provide a proof of funds from a European bank… how would that sound?

@Raffaele *************
they look at historical statement of 1-6 months spending on where you applied
Will ************
They wont use a conversion rate. They will insist on an amount usually in excess of the conversion amount such as 14 or 15K Euro

Let’s hope they will not reject it.. even I clearly showed the last 3 months where I was at 15.8k and now 13.6
Andy ********
I think you were taking a big risk putting absolute minimum into your account.
