I know I’m about to get crucified for asking a question that has been asked before, but there are many different answers and also from long time ago.

When applying in Ho Chi Minh.

Has anyone been accepted with having the 500k only a 2-4 weeks prior to application? So three months statement but only the last month having 500k in it?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The question asks whether it is acceptable to have the required 500,000 THB in a bank account for only the last month before applying for a visa in Ho Chi Minh. Responses indicate varying opinions, with some suggesting that having the funds for just a few weeks should not be a problem, provided the account shows consistent activity and a reasonable source for the funds. However, there is a warning that ultimately, the Thai Embassy has the final say, and any application that does not meet the stated requirements could be denied.

I applied in Hanoi on Saturday and got approved yesterday Thursday, had 500k+ for 3 weeks prior to applying, starting balance was 300k and ending close to 600k

I read something in the group a few weeks ago saying that it wasn’t a problem. On the website, they also don’t mention anything about “having it for 3 months.” I think it shouldn’t be an issue as long as you don’t have only 100k in the month before. It’s more important that it makes sense where the money comes from and why the amount is what it is, rather than having one single payment of 500k. But I also read this here…

As said, meet the embassy requirements. These could vary. You can try to play with it but may be denied.

Only the Thai Embassy can give you that answer.

Even when another person claims he got the visa without any proof, you can NOT use that statement to force the Embassy to give you a visa.

Meet the requirements get a visa, don't meet the requirements and you still apply is a risk of denied application without refunds.
