What should I know about the DTV visa application process regarding bank statements for the Thai Embassy in Ho Chi Minh?

Hi everyone ๐Ÿ‘‹

Iโ€™m planning to apply for the DTV visa next month at the Thai Embassy in HO CHI MINH ๐Ÿ‡ป๐Ÿ‡ณ. I understand that the embassy usually asks for a 6-month bank statement showing at least 500,000 THB.

I currently have that amount for the past three months, but I didnโ€™t have that balance four to six months ago, the funds were transferred from my parents.

Iโ€™m from Singapore and have had a regular income of about USD 5k per month for the past 3 years.

The income goes through Wise Business โ†’ Wise Personal โ†’ local bank account, where I handle my living expenses and payments.

My only concern is that since the 500,000 THB is a fresh deposit (around 20,000 USD), it might raise questions when they review the six-month statement. I could explain that itโ€™s a gift from my parents, but Iโ€™m not sure if that would be accepted.

Has anyone had experience with this situation when applying?

Would really appreciate your thoughts or advice. ๐Ÿ™

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is applying for a DTV visa at the Thai Embassy in Ho Chi Minh and needs to provide a six-month bank statement showing at least 500,000 THB. They have the required amount for the past three months, but the funds are recent deposits from parents, raising concerns about acceptance. Comments from others suggest that the embassy mainly checks for the amount rather than the source of funds.

I think HCM cares more about 6-month statements.

I applied in HCMC with the money being 2 weeks in my account. It doesn't matter

Don't try to explain anything more than they ask for. They do not care where the money came from, only that it is in your personal account.
