[HANOI - SOFT POWER COOKING]

Hi everyone. I plan to apply for the DTV visa at the end of July/ start of August. However, I'm a bit worried about the 500k baht.

Right now I've got 350k in my bank account, but won't receive the rest until July 20th ish. Will it still be ok if I technically just have the 500k 1.5 weeks before applying? Or you would advise that I gather the funds a bit quicker / delay my application date a bit?

I have used the search function of course but just want more definite confirmation. Thanks for all your help and support on this group!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about meeting the 500,000 baht requirement for the DTV visa application, as they will only have the required amount shortly before applying. Comments indicate that the Thai Embassy in Hanoi has relaxed the seasoning requirement, meaning it may be acceptable to apply shortly after reaching the balance. Several users suggest confirming current requirements directly with the embassy before proceeding, while others recommend having a minimum of 3 to 6 months of bank statements for stability.

Latest updates from Thai Embassy in Vietnam is that they don't require "seasoning" of funds in the bank account to be accepted. That being said, things may be different in the future! Unfortunately it is unlikely you will find this information anywhere in writing.

We are familiar as we work with several agents who assist with many applications so are up to date on the latest requirements.

how much do you charge for a cooking class?
Arun ***************
For our DTV eligible programs we have 6-months for THB 18,900 and 12-months for THB 36,900.

do you know if it's possible for me to show money in my business bank account and show documents that I own the company? Most of my money is in my business account
Arun ***************
Kevin Lee No, from our experience business accounts are not accepted. Same for brokerage accounts, investment accounts and Crypto wallets. I would recommend transferring the funds into a checking or savings account.

that's reassuring to know. Appreciate the clarification 😁

I submitted 6-month bank statements and got approved quickly. Less than 3 months, I wouldn't risk it.

hi according to my research, Hanoi only needs 3-month bank statements?

@Thu *******
I can't confirm. I just said that a minimum of 3 months, preferably 6, might be safer. Good luck to you, buddy :)

difficult according to whom?

They’re just simply doing their jobs properly. Hanoi embassy are definitely thorough, but extremely fair, so providing your application is legitimate, provide the correct documentation -it’s still one of the best embassies to apply from.

Hanoi has no 500k seasoning requirement so you will be fine. Double check before applying with the off chance of it being changed.

just hit Hanoi and you will get all the stories of recent rejections . This just happened this week alone

i have data that suggest otherwise . 5 people were recently rejected at HANOI and i suspect was due to either big recent deposits in their bank statements or just the money not been seasonal enough. All of them passed their initial document check mark so i doubt there were any errors in those applications. If people dont have the funds they should get an sponsor who does and get that paper notarized. The embassy could care less who has the money as long as it is coming from outside thailand and the applicant verbatim specifies they will not be seeking local employment 🙏

May I ask is there any official websites I can search for sure that they don’t have the money seasoning requirement? Cos I send email to embassy and no answers about this point, Tks.

@Lilly *****
I contacted the embassy before via email and they replied that a final balance of 500k was needed with several months of statements. You can also find 100s of posts by applicants that confirm this. You can try contacting them via FB or line.
