Is anybody having trouble transferring money from the USA using wise. I setup a ACH transfer earlier which it states should take seconds. I get an email saying it may be up to 4 days. Just wondering how I go from just seconds to days.
Thanks all

TLDR : Answer Summary
Many users are experiencing delays with ACH transfers via Wise, which are typically expected to take only seconds but are instead taking several days. Common factors contributing to these delays include the amount being sent, potential bank holidays or weekends affecting processing times, and Anti-Money Laundering checks. Many users report that larger transfers often take longer to process. It is also noted that using different reasons for transfer can impact delivery times, suggesting that the sending and receiving banks' systems may be less responsive under certain circumstances.
something is going on. But they are not saying. I have ask several times why they hold my money for 4 days. No answers

I agree. I just want to know who has my money. My bank says it gave to WISE. Wise said they see the transaction but not receive the money so someone is keeping the money
I'm not worried about receiving it, but sometimes the rate is good and waiting loses a little baht...enough to cover fees

That happens sometimes. For me once or twice a year. I have started transfers that said a few seconds, later I get an email that says a few days. I started a new transfer the next day for the same amount, got within a few seconds, the original transfer finally came through after a few days.
i tried doing another transfer same thing happen. I dont know whatvis going on but according to my bank record they recieved the money the same day i made the transaction but they still kept my money in their account for 3 days. Which i believe is against some banking laws.

Its been 4 days all week for me and now it's 7 days. Typically under 10 seconds for my transfers

What time of day and on which day did you send it ? I have only encountered delays with WISE when it’s either late at night or over a weekend when banks on either end (Canada /Thailand were not responsive …… it will always go through it just doesn’t happen right away in these circumstances though …….. and like Chris , in the comment above said …… send it in thai baht not usd .
that’s 3 days they have my money. That’s a little hard to take considering they say minutes

I just got an email saying Wise transferred it. Check my bank and it's there. So set it up Tues and received Friday night. I checked a pending transfer set up Thursday and Wise says delivery on Wed 4:00am.
Money already deducted from US bank. Very weird. Time to look for new service.
I used wise a couple time a week it for a few years . Up until august when my gf was killed in her motorbike in august , so I’m not familiar as of late. Just speaking from my experience up till then . It’s seemed Weekends /evening were problematic for me . I hope your able to figure it out 🙏
I tried several times using different reasons. Still the same thing. Their web page says ACH should only take minutes and when I inquired I was told I should plan to have extra money because it can take 4 days. Sounds like BS to me
hmmmmm that's odd - i was going to use them for my payroll but 4 days? that's BS> grrrrrrrrrr

Delivery times depends on a couple of things; when I give the reason for transfer as Long term stay in Thailand and there’s a Thai or US holiday/weekend, it takes 3-4 days. If I give a different reason for the transfer, it’s within minutes.

If you put reason for transfer as “long stay In Thailand”. It is longer than if you put “daily living expenses”.

wise and xe take over a week for me to actually get the funds in my Thai bank, every time, every month, for years, if I use ACH. A wire is faster but I'm not in a hurry.

After years of transfers, one under

bhat taking seconds and one over

bhat taking three days.the past three months my two monthly transfers have taken exactly six days.
I convert to Thai baht within Wise and then from there transfer to Thailand. Takes only a few minutes. But when I go from USD to Thai bank without that extra step it takes days.
It tends to be around 4 days for larger sums. It is a bit annoying because I have gotten that "it should arrive in seconds" prompt followed by "4 days to complete transfer" after I have already initiated it. So yeah... Wise is not accurate in this way unless it is with smaller amounts
I don’t know if they earn interest from money that is in transit but I doubt it. It’s usually at the receiving bank where the delays if any occurs, sometimes it’s bank holiday or their systems are down or the amount being transferred is subject to regulatory approval, but any money transfer company that repeatedly suffered delays for the reason would soon be out of business. I’ve used several companies in the past and for the combination of rate, speed and reliability then Wise is the best I’ve experienced. PayPal is instant usually but their exchange rate stinks
Transfers take seconds.of sun or holiday sent to other destination fir that period. Always someone paying int by the nanosecond. Transfer fees are all a function of the " club ".
Example: was
Exch US for Thai baht..large amount
At Super Rich ( best ) asked best rate. best rate have amount. asked if had $ with me..no, she said best rate in her hand , with buyer on phone to Japan..got cash, she had phone.... confirmed. Given great rate .
in US ,they used to call it ' kiting ' made illegal in US ?
Any money sitting anywhere is earning interest, even by the nanosecond.
I guess Q is :
What-da-you think ?

Data cables under the Red Sea have been cut/damaged causing Internet problems throughout Asia. Good report on BBC online news channel if you want to read about the details.
It depends on the amount you send. If it is up to US$ 1000 it is usually in seconds, if you send more it is usually longer. But sometimes there are glitches. But generally I have been very happy with them.
