Hi all. Was wondering why my last extension of stay was granted there and then ( non imm o a) and my friend was given a under consideration stamp ( non imm O based on marriage) and had to return a month later? The reason I'm asking is because I have booked a flight to UK on 21st December and plan to extend before I leave. The actual due date is on 7th January 2022. If I am given a under consideration stamp it will screw me up. I have only done the one previous extension which is why I was not aware of the under consideration stamp. Thanks any advise?
TLDR : Answer Summary
The difference in the processing of your extension and your friend's likely stems from the specific requirements tied to the types of Non-Immigrant O visas. An extension based on retirement may have a straightforward verification process without an under consideration stamp, while an extension based on marriage may require further investigation, such as a home visit to confirm cohabitation.
