Hey

My non imm -O visa will end on the 10th Feb 2023. I went to the immigration asking for 1 year extension based on a thai wife.

Yesterday I got a stamp saying " Application of stay is under consideration" and I am supposed to contact the immigration on the 9th of March.

I tried asking the immigration officer but it was as clear as mud!

Now I think that I am allowed to stay upto the 9th of March .Please let me know if my understanding is correct.

What if my Application gets rejected, shall I arrange a flight on the same day?

Many thanks

Aop

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification about their stay in Thailand while their visa extension application is under consideration. They have been informed that their application for a one-year extension based on being married to a Thai citizen is being processed, and they received a stamp indicating this. They want to confirm their understanding that they can stay until March 9th and are concerned about what to do if their application is rejected.

During the under-consideration period, the Immigration officer may do a home visit or witness interviews. Don't miss the call from them. If they plan those things and you ignore them, then you might be in trouble.

If the paperwork is correct which immigration have already accepted go back on the 9th and pick up your extension/visa.

"UNDER CONSIDERATION " really should be "in process".

The paperwork has been accepted and will be processed, there would have to be something very seriously wrong to be denied.

Go back on the 9th and get the extension stamped in.

Nothing to worry about.

You will go back on the 9 March and recieve the remainder of the year's extension. Not heard of anyone "under consideration" being denied.
