(Another) 90 day reporting question, apologies if this has been asked already.
I arrived in September under a visa exemption, and have extended my stay using the 30-day (tourist) renewal and then the 60-day COVID extension. My 90th day in Thailand is tomorrow so I went to MTT to do my report but was told by the immigration officer (at the stamping desk) that it wasn't needed for COVID extensions. When I got that extension I didn't get a separate sheet of paper telling me when to file this report, but the stamp in my passport does say that 90 day reporting is necessary.
Is it true I don't need to do 90 day reporting? I am hoping to get another COVID extension in January (I know this is not guaranteed), will it be an issue if immigration doesn't see 90 day reporting when I go back for this? Thanks in advance!
TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the necessity of 90-day reporting under a COVID extension in Thailand. They received mixed responses from an immigration office, and noted that while the stamp in their passport indicated 90-day reporting was required, they were told it wasn't necessary for COVID extensions. Comments from others suggest discrepancies among immigration offices regarding the enforcement of this requirement, with some recommending that it is safer to complete the report to avoid potential fines.
