I live in Australia have a Thai wife and Thai home, Iโm Australian 75yrs old, usually I get a one year retirement visa, but my last visit when leaving the local Thai immigration office, in Kamphaeng Phet I paid for a Re-Entry permit, this has now run out, was in my old Australian passport valid till 28Oct 2024
Going out soon on my new Australian passport.
My question is i intend to travel end of this month to Thailand returning back to Australia Mid-March 2025,
(Can l go out on the 90day visa exemption and get an another 30 day exemption?)
Which would cover my trip?.
Or go through the long process of getting a year retirement visa again,
I have all the correct criteria needed.
Any other solutions!
Thanks John

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, an Australian citizen, inquires about traveling to Thailand on a 90-day visa exemption and whether he can obtain an additional 30-day extension. Respondents clarify that there is no 90-day visa exemption for Australians; instead, there is a 60-day visa exemption that can be extended by 30 days. They recommend considering the 90-day marriage visa prior to travel for easier processing.

There is no 90 day visa exempt. There is a 60 day visa exempt and you can get a 30 day extension, giving 90 days in total.
You can also apply for a 60 day visiting Thai family extension based on your wife after you get the 30 day extension.
It would probably be easier to get the 90 day marriage visa before you travel though and then get the 60 day visiting Thai family extension on that. One less trip to immigration if you do it that way.
