Hi folks just wanted to get the latest on which embassies outside of Thailand can offer the multiple entry Non O marriage visa. Singapore had it for years, removed it, recently brought it back, then removed it again :(.

Coming in on a single then extending inside Thailand is not an option due to the 60 day inside country ( before you can apply ) criteria as I work on rotation. Very frustrating as I'm sure this effects a large number of people who bring in good money to the country. Coming in on a single every time, applying 21 days before online will just not work, that method would also require me to have 400k locked up for the entire year.

I will be working in Australia next month for a little while if that helps ,?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the difficulties in obtaining a multiple entry Non-O marriage visa outside Thailand, with specific mention that Singapore has fluctuated in its offerings of this visa. The original poster expresses frustration over the inability to extend a single entry visa from within Thailand due to the 60-day rule, especially as they work on rotation in Australia. Several commenters clarify that currently, only a 90-day Non-O visa can be obtained, and to extend it for one year, one needs to meet certain conditions, including keeping a minimum of 400,000 baht in a Thai bank for 2 months prior to applying. The notion that one must stay for 60 days before applying for the extension is also addressed.

Thanks guys. I was confused in that I thought i had to be in the country for 60 days minimum to activate the extension for the multi entry. Therefore I would have had to apply a single entry each time and show funds each time, as I am unable to stay thst long due to my rotation.

Seems I was wrong. I'll go through these replies now and get my confused head around it.

Thanks

Why would it require you to have 400K "locked up the entire year"?

The seasoning requirement for banked money method on an extension based on marriage is 400K baht in a thai bank account in your name only for 2 months before you apply for the extension <- that's it, there is no other rule about the seasoning of funds for marriage extension

Since all the countries went to eVisa online web-portal there is NO embassy which will issue more than a 90 day single entry Non-O visa ๐Ÿ˜•

You could get the 90 day non O, enter Thailand then get a re-entry permit, leave for your work rotation, return and apply for 1 year extension and when you get the extension, get a multiple re-entry permit then you're free to come and go as you please. There may be a bit of dates juggling while under consideration but it should work out about right if you are on a

or similar rotation.

Why would your 400k be locked up for a year, it is only required for 2 months prior to the extension application?

That multiple entry One year Non O Visa as Married to Thai is no longer available.

You can get a 90 day Non O Visa as Married to Thai.

Then extend it for one year by meeting the requirements for the extension, including the 400,000 Thai baht deposit in a Thai bank account in your name only.
