it's not always available though. I just applied online for taiwan, same thing, selected ME, printed form, went to embassy, oh ME not available.

I got 12 month non o ME based on marriage from sydney. Actually I got 2 of them within 3 months but thats a longer story lol

Savannakhet and HCMC sold multi entry Non Imm O's before covid, not sure about now. UK stopped selling them a few years ago.
