Hi does anyone know where I can obtain a non O multiple entry visa based on marriage and kids?
I use to do a yearly trip back to Australia and get one every year quite easily but since they have gone to the E-visa system there is no multiple entry non O visa option anymore.
I would go down the yearly extension route but as an offshore worker I'm not able to stay in country long enough to apply in the last 30 days as I'm due back to work.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster is seeking information on obtaining a multiple entry Non-O visa based on their marriage and children while facing challenges with current E-visa regulations. Comments suggest that the only reliable consulate for issuing this visa is in Savannakhet, Laos, requiring proof of 400,000 baht in a Thai bank account for two months. Additionally, the Thai Consulate in Saigon may still offer this visa option, although updated requirements apply.

The Thai Consulate in Saigon still offers them, or at least on their website, that's where I used to get my non O ME's from.

Indeed, I got my 12mth ME Non O (Thai marriage) visa at HCMC on 25 Oct 2022 (i.e., post-covid). With a pre-booked appointment I found them to be quite efficient as long as you complied with list of docs on their website, including Thai bank book that showed ample funds.
when was the last time you got one from them? Has it been since they re-opened from Covid? There just have been no reports of people getting them from there really that I could find
... it's been a while Tod, pre-covid, but as well as still showing available on their website, I seem to remember a post somewhere of someone mentioning they got the ME there. ๐ค
Right now it appears that the only consulate in the area that will issue year long, multi-entry Non-O visas based on marriage to a thai is the one in Savannakhet Lao
You need to have 400K baht in a thai bank account in your name only for 2 months when you apply for the visa. It's 5000baht.
It's only issued based on marriage to a thai NOT for raising thai children.
That's the only consulate I'm totally sure of. There are reports that people were able to get it in Vientiane (but it's just a few sporadic reports, not enough that I'd send you there to try for it)
The consulate is a "walk up" consulate meaning you don't need an appt to get in, you apply one morning, and get the passport back with the visa in it the next business day afternoon.
These are the requirements (the only difference is for the year/multi you show the bank book updated and proof of funds for 2 months)
