Lets try again, the embassy in Singapore requires a round trip flight booked before you can start the visa application. Does anyone have tips on how to overcome this without possibly losing the money spent on a ticket if the visa gets denied.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on how to satisfy the embassy's requirement for a round trip flight booking for a Thai visa application without risking financial loss if the visa is ultimately denied. Suggestions from the community include using a bus ticket as proof of onward travel, obtaining a paper ticket which isn't paid for, or utilizing services that provide temporary flight bookings. Additionally, one commenter advises having all necessary documentation in order to minimize the chance of visa refusal.
Okay, I can't see this going well. The group goes out of its way to help people get the information to FOLLOW the rules and get visas. NOT to circumvent them.
You do know that you can use a bus ticket to another country to show proof of onward travel at thai consulates right?
IF you are concerned about the proof of funds, proof of onward travel, proof of a hotel booking that consulates ask for then the ONLY thai consulate in S/E Asia that will sell you a tourist visa without those things is the one in Vientiane.
Believe I shared this with you before but you can either use a service like bestonwardflights.com or use the US website of Expedia and select flights with a easy cancellation policy.
Preparation! Make sure you have all the documentation prepared, with supporting evidence, and then some. Don't leave anything to chance. Make it as hard as possible for them to have any grounds at all for refusing.
