Any idea when the Test and Go will officially be reopened. I notice that the T&G portal is still of-line
Cheers

TLDR : Answer Summary
The community has reported that the Test and Go program in Thailand is expected to officially reopen on February 1, 2022, although official confirmation in the government gazette has not yet been seen. There are ongoing discussions regarding the requirements for travelers, including tests, insurance policies, and the necessary paperwork. Questions about traveling into Thailand, particularly flying into Bangkok versus Phuket, have also been raised. Additionally, some users expressed frustrations over testing requirements, suggesting that they complicate travel plans.

Would gladly consult my crystal ball for you except it’s broken from overuse and all the crystal balls are sold out at the shops because everybody in this forum bought them out!

The Thai Government stated that 1st February 2022 will be the start of the Test & Go, but there's been a few changes to the last time it was implemented, There's a link below.

Another Question Chaps. I am just over a dose of Covid and I will receive a certificate of recovery from our HSE next week. That said, I will more than likely test positive with any PCR test I do in the next two months. Q. Will the Thai border control accept my recovery Cert instead of a Neg PCR Cert ??
Hi Ivan, I’m dealing with exactly the same issue. Thai consulate in Vancouver told me to obtain a letter from my Dr saying I “have revered from Covid” and then this along with my Covid + test result and my vaccine certificate will exempt me from PCR testing upon arrival in Thailand. Good news for me.
more than likely you won’t be tested positive in the next 2 months unless you are really unlucky. I get PCR tested every week for work. I’ve been positive in the past with covid and 10 days later tested negative. A lot of my work colleagues the same.
Pre pay pcr test and quarantine hotel day 1 and day 5 ..FFS ..I don’t have a problem day 1 but day 5 is fucking silly and makes no sense ..I just want to go home to my house in Surin. Same applies for Thai citizens they have to book into a hotel on day 5 ..typical Thai logic
yup I’ll have to leave my house ,my wife and daughter on day 5 get PCR tested and goto hotel, I very much doubt there be quarantine hotels in Surin and if I am tested positive or even false positive I’m screwed. Isolated for 10 days and that’s my holiday to see my wife and daughter over with.
...she has helped over 3,500+ and her policies pay for testing POSITIVE with or WITHOUT SYMPTOMS...there are only 2 that still do..AXA Sawadee Thailand and LUMA Tune Thailand. (if you ride motorbike...get AXA as LUMA does not cover motorbike accidents medical care)
if PHUKET destination it will soon be possible to transit BKK to Phuket...but in reality complicated by having to use sealed route flights on Bangkok Airways BKK to Phuket.
Best to do Test N Go in Bangkok
And if Phuket is destination fly there and book night #5 in an approved hotel with partner hospital for the second RT-PCR test
no no I WANT to enter at bangkok and do day 1 and 5 there. But I was told it wasn't on the list so I have booked phuket. My airline flies direct from Dubai to either so it doesn't really matter - I was just under the impression that phuket was the only entry point
and Australia now, being replaced by RA tests for new arrivals

February 1 as reported today. But more paperwork and asymptomatic Covid coverage + $50k standard coverage... yes... 2 policies. Then the usual PCR tests.
Yes they do but that means you have to take Two policys out to fully cover yourself and lets face it you dont get alot of coverage for the money you pay with the Thai companies
So, do you think it would be risky to book flights, accom and etc. now with the intention of flying on Feb 07th ? Or should I wait till the portal is open
you run the risk of not getting your Thailand Pass by the 7th. That's if they actually update the system on time by the 1st to accept the applications.
