Another question. My Thai friend meets all the requirements for “Test and Go”. She filled out all the proper information for the Thaipass. She received approval in 12 hours. Only problem is it says “sandbox” instead of “Test and go”. Been calling the hotline for 4 days but no answer. My question is do all the Thaipass say “Sandbox”? Thanks

Look over the form closely. Do you see "Exemption from Quarantine" anywhere on the sheet? That's the actual scheme name.

My understanding is you can do Test & Go within the sandbox.

They approved your TP with 1 night stay in Phuket and 1 RT-PCR booked at the airport, right?

Yes. Why did the approve her Thaipass for a “Sandbox” when the can clearly see she only had a one night hotel reservation in BKK. A complete farce. And zero support from Thailand as the Hotline is useless.

If the TP was approved with that, I wouldn't think you should have any issues (provided the form doesn't say anything about 7 nights stay required).

I actually applied under a 7-day CoE to the sandbox, but my CoE had an "Exemption from Quarantine" footnote and they let me do Test & Go

way too late. Flight leaves in a few hours. I’m not sure how she got sandbox when she applied for the test and go and she meets all the requirements.

tell her to apply again and then immediately call this number: +6622035000. Not sure if it’s 24hours line or needs to be called in Thai office hour times. But this is the magic number!!! She will receive her Thailand pass in minutes by calling them.

Thanks. So our big problem now is if Qatar airlines won’t let her on the flight today because she only has a one night hotel reservation. And the Thaipass is linked so she can’t make a new reservation. Any solutions?

tbh I’m not sure, it may be overseen but in Dubai they were meticulous looking through all the paperwork , BUT my THAI Pass does have a wrong letter in my middle name but nothing was said

The airline won't care about the hotel reservation. They'll only need the TP, your passport and relevant COVID test/vaccination documents.
