The borders in Thailand are currently closed for visa runs, and although some reports indicate a few border openings, these are primarily for local traffic and transport, not for tourists. Moreover, crossing borders entails additional requirements like obtaining a Thai pass and undergoing PCR testing. Confusion persists among expats, with varying accounts regarding specific border status, but the consensus suggests that traditional visa runs may no longer be viable options.

I’m sure boarders would always be open to a visa run! Goin out on a limb here….I have to assume that! Par for the TP course!

I asked here the other day about the border with Savanakhet being open and my post was rejected. It would be nice to know if and when if anyone knows.

Don’t know, but the borders are closed! 😉

Don't you still have to be in the foreign country for 21 days before entering Thailand?

Border runs are currently history even if the boarders were open. If you crossed a border a Thai pass would need doing and PCR tests and everything else that goes with it. It would be the same as any visitor coming to Thailand.

I'm confused. I was blocked by admin from asking this Q and told that all borders are open!! However, my students from the Taichilek area report that the Mae Sai - Taichilek border is closed. Can someone confirm... Is it opened or closed please?... Thanks
You can fly to countries but "currently" land borders are closed to tourists. Some people are posting certain land borders are open but when you read the thread, it's usually only open to local traffic.
