TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses the requirement for SHA+ Hotels in relation to the Thailand Pass, with particular emphasis on recent updates about SHA++ and the procedures for testing upon arrival. Participants express confusion over these changes, mention the need for clarity on updated regulations, and explore the implications for travelers. There's also a suggestion to postpone travel plans due to ongoing restrictions.

Due to all of the restrictions, I have decided to wait longer to see how things look next year.

Is it possible to book SHA + then pay for a test at the airport? If so does the airport provide the extra test for day 6?

If you already have your Thailand Plus certificate based on the SHA+, you should be good. Phuket tests at the airport anyway, so the only thing the hotel should do is pick you up and give you an ATK test kit to take with you after leaving.
Fabrizio ********
He mean SHA++ and not anymore SHA+

ORIGINAL POSTER
For my upcoming trip to Phuket I booked originally SHA+, I received my Thailand Pass on this booking. I didn't expect the transfer nor PCR for the one night hotel price. I contacted the hotel on Monday, they provided a link to book & pay for the Test. I then sent a copy of this to the Hotel with a transfer booking. They sent back a official (from the Hotel) letter with all this listed & tied to the Hotel booking for me to show to Immigration.
It's both a little complicated & expensive now to come to Thailand. Certainly my long weekends in Phuket are a thing of the past for the time being. I can break down the real costs if anyone is interested.
The Tourism Authority website has just been updated to list this requirement: A confirmed payment for a 1-night stay at a SHA Extra Plus (SHA++)* accommodation, and 1 RT-PCR test.
just found it updated on the Tourism Authority website: "SHA Extra Plus (SHA++) hotels are those that meet the Amazing Thailand SHA Plus standard and provide an accommodation service in partnership with certified hospitals for the RT-PCR test. The list of the SHA Extra Plus (SHA++) hotels is available here

I think they are attempting to differentiate between the hotels actually offering test and go and normal SHA Plus approved hotels which may not be participating in test and go. There have been many issues with travelers booking a SHA Plus hotel without adding the test and go package and then trying to get Thailand Pass approval without adding the test and go package. But the extra plus designation isn't full implemented yet.
if you go to the official government SHA website Thailandsha.com, you'll already see a filter for SHA Extra Plus although no explanation of the difference
And why would that be, I booked 2 weeks ago to go to Phuket, got my Thailand Pass based on my one night in SHA+ Hotel, as I understand it they now require you to be staying in a SHAplus+ Hotel (it maybe SHA++, but the article I read stated it as Plus not +). What I wanted to know if anyone knows does this mean I've got change my Hotel booking or what?
and there is not sha++. It's just sha+ stop reading articles and just go to your embassy or Thai embassy website. You will get the correct answers there.
