Thailand's reopening to American visitors is uncertain and largely depends on the COVID-19 situation both in the U.S. and Thailand. Currently, the borders are closed, and there are speculations that it might not open to U.S. citizens for an extended period due to high infection rates. Discussions reveal that other countries may see a quicker reopening based on their handling of the virus. Many suggest following official Thai government updates and trusted information sources for the latest news.

Well I think Americans should NOT come ....just look how this clown called president reacts yo this deadly virus.....
Please be specific. What government and what department or ministry? Was the email an official public communication or a confidential slip from an insider? Was the originator someone in an official capacity with significant authority or a uni student intern?
Inquiring minds want to separate rumor from facts.

I think the best answer would be to follow Richard Barrow over on Twitter. Always the latest news with knowledgeable commentary.
The guy has good media and government connections, especially with immigration.
Believe it or not, Thailand rarely makes news in the US.

Ask the thai government, it's their decision.

I think visitors from particular countries will be allowed in whenever that country ends their lockdown plus a few weeks. That should be soon for most Asian countries but a lot longer for Europe and North America.
made up ! You have no source and as per my Thai Gov friends a decision will be taken April 30th! Tired off all the BS people made up! If you no facts shut up đ¤
Asia is the future economically and politically? đAnyway expenditure per capita as reported by the Thai government has Europeans and Americans ahead by almost double. Yes the numbers of Chinese are high but the most lucrative groups are European and American.
actually I have a feeling it will be the exact opposite. Open for Europeans but closed for Asians. Remember there is always a financial issue involved

Hard to tell. But my guess is even if Thailand opens border sometimes next month, it will still be hard they open to US citizens or anyone flying from there, due to the virus still wild there, according to Thail government
It is still wild here. I'm in lockdown. My state alone has over 11,000 cases and it's a small state. I guess we just add vacation funds to our Thailand Retirement funds this year!

They just extended the curfew till the 20th of May .Im supposed to be going to work offshore in Taiwan in June/July .Once in Taiwan I have to stay in a quarantine hotel for 2 weeks. Then Offshore till January 2021. So America being a high risk I wouldnât think any time soon. But things change by the month.I got intouch with Thai immigration today and said they will keep people informed on their website.
Their website hasn't been update since 1998, I very much doubt that.

That is up to the virus. The geniuses in the States that are overruling the epidemiologists program that had locked down the country are gonna make that at least 90 days longer and You will still likely be quaranteened for 14 days after arrival. anyhow.
patience sorry for your pb it will be better - be positive

Iâm presume youâre coming from USA? Itâs not really a question of opening the borders, more a question of when and which airlines will fly there.
