Hi All,

My son’s ED visa is expired in June 28th. When do we need to show up at the Immigration with all the papers needed? 1 week or 2 weeks or 1 day before to apply for the new ED visa extension?

Thanks in advance for the information πŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌ

TLDR : Answer Summary
You can apply for a new ED visa extension typically when you have 30 days or less remaining on your current visa, with some offices allowing applications up to 45 days prior. Based on a user's experience, they successfully renewed their ED visa 5 days before expiry, recommended arriving early at the immigration office to get a queue ticket.

I just completed mine:

1. Did it 5 days before the expiry.

2. The school prepared a letter prior.

3. I usually go cheungwattana at 630am - got a queue ticket within 100.

4. Waited n processed by 9.15am

5. Out at 1015.

@Kuan *****
you can make an appointment for an ED extension and then just show up at that time. There's no need to go at 6AM any more :/

What I'm trying to tell you
@Kuan *****
IS

you can book an appointment for Section N at 8:30 and be the first person seen without the need to queue up with the zombie horde.

BUT

You do what makes you feel good :P ;)

Most immigration offices allow you to apply for a new extension when you have 30 days or less left on your current stamp, some even let you do it when you have 45 days or less left on your current stamp
