I need to get a 30-day extension to my 60-day visa-exempt stay ending on Sept 30th, 2026. Can I go to the Bangkok Immigration IT Square Laksi office today or must I wait till the last week before Sept 30th?
Answer summary
The user is inquiring whether they can apply for a 30-day extension to their 60-day visa-exempt stay expiring on September 30, 2026, at the Bangkok Immigration IT Square Laksi office or if they need to wait until closer to the expiration date. Responses indicate that applications can be made when there are 45 days or less remaining on the visa, and it is advised to apply approximately 14 days prior to the expiration for the best results. The possibility of same-day processing and confirmation of continuing eligibility for extensions on 60-day visa exemptions was also discussed.

Best is to apply approx 14 days before from the immigration area you will be staying in unless you are on a monthly lease then 45 days before
If people are only getting 30 day visas how does one get to the 90 days needed to apply for the o visa in person in Thailand. Aa I didn't see anything that says you can apply 2 times to extend your visa
The 30-day visa exemption begins in future on the 15th of this month—I already entered and am inside Thailand at the moment on visa-exemption for 60 days.
In Bangkok you can apply for an extension when you have 45 days or less left. So you could've gone anytime about 2 weeks after you arrived in Thailand.
Can I ask if the processing is completed on the same day if I went into the IT Square Laksi office at 9 AM tomorrow? And are they still giving 30-day extensions on 60-day visa-exempt stays please?
