When does a visa extension in Thailand take effect if I apply before it expires?
Quick question, would appreciate any help! I’m a uk passport holder and currently in Thailand on first visa, it runs out on 15th and my plan was to do extension, if I go to immigration office Tomorow will the extension add another 30 days from the 15th, or from tomorows date? 🙏 Thankyou
Answer summary
If you apply for a visa extension at the immigration office before your current visa expires, the extension will start from the expiry date of your current visa, which is the 15th in this case. Therefore, if you successfully extend your visa, it will add 30 days starting from the 16th.
