ORIGINAL POSTERMy visa expires on Aug 8th. If I go tomorrow here in Chiang Mai to request extension, and I get the extension, do the next 30 days begin tomorrow on the 1st, or on the day my current visa expires, the 8th?

IF you were stamped in for either 60 or 30 days...you go to Chiang Mai Thai Immigration office and apply for 30 days extension of stay . 1,900 Thai baht and the 30 days extension is ADDED to your current ending date of August 8th.

then go to Chiang Mai Thai Immigration office and ask for the 30 day extension of stay. It's ADDED to your current ending date of August 8th.Suggest you go midweek this coming week...as it will be very busy tomorrow Monday as Thai immigration office was closed last Thursday and Friday .. holidays..

The extension is added to the end, so you get 30+30 days.

If it's the standard 1 time 30 day extension, it is added onto your current permission to stay stamp.
