How many days before a 60 day tourist visa expires can you apply for a 30 day extension? Mine expires on the 14th of February so if I go to immigration on koh phangan on February 3 for example, will they grant 30 days from the 14th, or 30 days from the 3rd?

Appreciate advice thank you. πŸ™

TLDR : Answer Summary
You can typically apply for a 30-day extension of your 60-day tourist visa up to 30 days before it expires. If your visa expires on February 14, you can apply for an extension on February 3. The additional 30 days will be added to your current visa expiration date, not the date of your extension application.

Most offices allow 30 days prior. Some may say only 7 days prior. I don’t know the policy at KP.

They add on the 30 days to your existing stamp.
