TLDR : Answer Summary
A Myanmar national seeking an engineering job in Thailand should apply for a NON-B visa after securing employment. It's important to narrow down the engineering specialty and explore job vacancies, as local Thai engineers are often prioritized for jobs. For specific visa information, consider contacting the local Thai embassy.

Although i am not sure about Myanmar cotizens, its best if you contact the local embassy

Engineering is such a wide subject. Might be helpful to:

1. narrow down what type of engineering

2. To post on a relevant facebook group.

Once you have a job your employer will help you apply for a non-B visa.

Very difficult as available Thai engineers will be first in line and there's lots of them!

because you are Burmese you come under a completely different category of work approval than foreigners not from the countries surrounding Thailand. It is under a foreign worker program through the Thai Ministry of Labour, and there are quotas arranged with the Myanmar embassy. It is also a different set of requirements for the company hiring you. Now with covid, and a large number of Burmese that have officially left, you've got a real good change of making the quota number. Your employer has to work with the Thai Ministry of Labour to get you approval to enter, and get the required work permit. There is no actual visa. It is an approval to work letter from my understanding.
