Hello,

I'm moving to a townhouse in about a month. However, even if we share the cost, the contract is at my girlfriend's name.

So my question is regarding TM30 : what am I supposed to do in this situation ? Should I get a hand-written paper from my girlfriend stating that she shares the house with me or something ?

Thanks in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you are moving into a townhouse where the contract is in your girlfriend's name, you do not need a hand-written paper from her. She can file the TM30 form, nominating you as a resident at the address. However, she will need some documents to complete this process, including a Power of Attorney from the landlord, a copy of the landlord's ID, and her rental contract. It is advised that your girlfriend accompany you to the immigration office to facilitate the filing of the TM30, as you may not be able to file it independently since your name is not on the rental agreement.

maybe the easiest answer is that your girlfriend submits it as a self-file (as

posted above already). You may not be able to self-file by yourself since your name is not on the documents. Maybe your gf can do a self-file for (or about) you without Power Of Attorney with her contract.

Let's start with a basic question: Which immigration office

No it won't, that's why I what guessing I needed a power of attorney or anything similar to complete tm30

Jean-baptiste Lucas. If your GF has a lease with her name on it she can file TM30. All she needs is a copy of landlord ID.

I have no idea haha ! The agents was always taking care of it for me before, I guess it depends on the area i live in? Im in onnut

If onnut is in Bangkok, you'd use Bangkok immigration. Is your name going to be on any rental contracts?

your GF needs a POA from the landlord, a copy of the landlord's housebook and ID card, both copies signed by the landlord, her ID card and her rental contract. She must accompany you to Immigration where you can file the TM30 in the landlord's name

I would think the owner has to sign

Not needed. She simply files a TM30 nominating you as living at the address
