Hope someone can help!

I have a friend travelling from Guatemala to Thailand and she read that she could apply for a her visa online rather than in an embassy as Guatemala doesn’t have a Thai embassy. When she went to check in they said that wasn’t the case so now she’s scrambling trying to arrange one in El Salvador but there is no one at the the embassy there either. Does anyone have any experience with travelling from Guatemala or any advice I could give her? She is distraught as she will miss her flight and they were very expensive

Answer summary

A user is seeking advice for a friend who is trying to obtain a Thai visa from Guatemala, where there is no embassy. After discovering she cannot apply online, the friend is in distress about potentially missing her expensive flight. Comments suggest that the nearest Thai embassy is in Mexico City, and emphasize the necessity of obtaining a Thai tourist visa before traveling, as the friend is not eligible for Visa Exempt Entry or Visa on Arrival.

and I think the O/P's friend now has enough information to either figure out how to get a visa to enter thailand OR to change her flight until she can
