Has anyone had a problem getting the 60 day visa sticker and then not being allowed in with too many prior entrances? I'm at the cebu consulate and they looked at my passport and said even if I got approved for a 60 day visa the thai immigration might not let me in. For some background info. I have used 81 days on this passport or three stamps in and out and 60 days on a prior one this year. Does anyone have experience with this? I have some luggage in storage there and am worried about not getting it back if I'm not allowed in. But they said that if my visa is not approved in Cebu they will not make any stamps in my passport but the system will have a record of me applying and that the final decision is up to the immigration there.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user seeking advice on obtaining a 60-day Thai visa at the Cebu consulate has raised concerns about potentially being denied entry to Thailand due to prior extensive stays and multiple entries on their passport. Despite receiving approval for the visa, immigration officers may still deny entry based on travel history and other factors. Other users have shared experiences and suggested that having proof of accommodation, funds, and onward travel can help in such situations. However, the final decision rests with the immigration officer at the border, highlighting the unpredictability of entry policies.

Use the search option, there are reports on this page. As this page is set up to give people advice on how to get a Thai visa or Extension of stay, I would say, let's stop this non based stories about racial profiling. I will close commenting on this topic.

If u are from north america or western europe u will be fine, if u are from africa, muslim country and or middle east, the odds of getting questionned is much higher. 95%+ of people here having trouble especially in don mueang airport fit one or many of the criteria above.

Now if u get question and have the *3 proof of* (see Robert post), u should be fine.

I'm looking only for one story, not 50, one story of denial with regard to the criterias below:

- White skin

- From North America or West Europe.

- Non Muslim country.

- On a valid tourist visa.

- With the 3 proof of.

- Getting denied while fitting the 5 criteria above is something I have never seen, and I did talk to a lot of people who got denied.

Prove me wrong and I will talk about it in my next youtube video.

U will not find statistics about this, I don't think there is any data about the % denied with or without *proof of* anyways. Just like went other here say *the % denied overall is very low because people don't comment about it*. Well, this group *only* has 25k members. Most people that get denied don't post their story here, but probably mostly to their friend on FB which almost never reach this page.

So all I have is conversion I had with people that got denied and how it plays out. Most if not all case of people denied with all the *proof of* it was racial profiling motivated.

I'm gonna ask anyone here that read this post: Do you know anyone from Canada, USA, UK, or any west europe non-muslim country that have been denied an entry to Thailand while having a tourist visa and all 3 proof of. I have never come across anyone that fit those criteria, ever, but everytime I read a weird story of denial went everything is done by the book it's always because of their country of origin.

I read this comment about racial profiling more times, but can you please support this with statistics?

Any updates? I am going to Cebu soon and wanted to get a Single Entry Tourist Visa there as well. Did you get the Visa? How long did it take?

Seeing that you have a longer history of staying inside Thailand using Visa Exempt and Tourist Visa, there is a bigger chance that you get questions on entry. So make sure you have with your the proof of funds, 20.000 Thb in cash, proof of accommodation and proof of onward travel, These three proofs can be asked by Immigration to every person who like to enter Thailand. Next to this I would advice you to bring proof of finances coming in from abroad to avoid the suspicion of working in Thailand. Good luck.

Omar Makko Like I said below, ur country of origin will sometime make or break you went u try to enter Thailand.

Thanks for letting me know

They sent me to the IDC and asked me to buy a flight back. I was in the IDC for approximately 23 hours. My passport wasn't stamped. I've been on tourist visas for approximately 2.5 years, so it was obviously going to cause/generate suspicion.

@Omar ******
how much time have you already been in thailand this year? Did they give you at least a day to gather any items in storage?
Omar *******
I was recently denied entry with 20K+ in cash, and a confirmed onward booking (fully paid for). I had a valid tourist Visa from the Thai Embassy in KL as well. I'm currently back in my country and awaiting the necessary documents to apply for an ED Visa.

@Ron ******
well I'm flying to hk first. And was thinking of rerouting my flight to laos or burma which is cheaper than being denied

I've no idea how your going to enter Thailand via a land border if your in the Phillipines without flying to another country?

Thanks for the information. Much appreciated.

Every Immigration Officer has the right to ask the 3 proofs as I mentioned. You want to hear something we can not tell you. If asked you show, if not asked you walk in with a 60 day stamp. It is up to the Immigration Officer at that moment.

But do people crossing with bus have an easier time getting back in?
Robert *******
There are 35 million tourist arriving on a yearly basis, the reports of people getting denied I see on this page are a hand full. And even than those people did not have the 3 proofs as I mentioned before.

Is there a better chance to avoid this if I cross by land?

I guess your storage is somewhere inside Thailand. If you get denied entry, you're not allowed to pass Immigration. You will be brought to a holding area, till arrangements are made to fly you or back where you came from or back home.

@Samir *****
Do you think if they did this they would at least give me a few hours to gather my items in storage?
Samir ******
Still you might be denied entry, as said its up to immigration officer

Thank you for the prompt advice. I have all this, including a flight back to my country booked but the embassy worker was still a bit suspicious of me.
