Well... I don't think I can do it anymore. I was planning to trek about Central and South America for a few months waiting and hoping for things in SE Asia to open up some but I can't wait. I am going to spend perhaps another month and start making arrangements to go to The Land of Smiles and grace.

That said, while I am aware of the requirements heading in (Visa, COE, Test and 10 day quarantine), it's all quite overwhelming especially given that only specific hotels are SHA certified etc..

I would appreciate any help through the process. Any guidelines or step by step outlines and/or even referrals to services that will help.

Thanks in advance to everyone

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user expresses a desire to travel to Thailand soon, feeling overwhelmed by the current visa and entry requirements, including the necessity for a COE, testing, and a 10-day quarantine. They seek step-by-step guidance and assistance in navigating these requirements. Comments from the community indicate that rules are changing as of November 1st, suggesting that vaccinated travelers may have an easier experience, but the exact details are still unclear.

, of course no one knows till we know (and even then I'm sure we won't know) but it sounds like those changes will be for vaccinated travelers.

The only choice for unvaçcinated is ASQ and how long they leave that option open for Non Thais is anyones guess.

Process for that

Book Flights

Book ASQ for Ten days

Get covid insurance for the time on your visa.

Apply COE.

The sandbox entry (SHA +) is not available to the unvaccinated.

COE May be premature? May change Nov 1?

You know Asia and i can see them following Singapores path. Singapore even banned there own unvaccinated citizens from shopping malls and restaurants this week.

They still need to leave an option open for unvaccinated Thais. Whether they make that available to foriegners is anyones guess. I believe will still be a viable option for rest of year and then they will review.

Yeah, so the former would be the process by which I will be applying to enter. First step would be to apply for a Visa then no? If/when I am granted a visa, how long do I have from then to complete the rest of the process before that Visa approval is invalid?

Same question for the COE.

For the ASQ, I found a website that seems to list ASQ hotels but there is no details for pricing etc.. Any leads on (links) to a site or resource that I can use to find an ASQ?

I just checked the goverment website hsscovid.com and its not working. (Surprise surprise)

You can check on agoda for ASQ hotels.

There is also a group ASQ review.

But when announcement come soon I guess a lot of hotels are going to stop doing it.

Once you get your visa its valid for entry for 3 months.

Wait one more week to start making plans.

As per the announcement on top of page changes are coming to how you enter Thailand.

Rules are changing as of November 1st. A bit sketchy on details as yet but in the next few days should become clearer. Hold off for now and wait and see.
