TLDR : Answer Summary
The traveler, a Permanent Resident holder flying from Melbourne to Delhi with a layover in Bangkok, inquires about the need for a transit visa, COVID-19 testing requirements, and the necessity of travel insurance while transiting. Comments indicate that transiting is possible but could require insurance coverage of 50,000, with a suggestion to verify details on the Thailand Pass website. There is uncertainty regarding whether the tickets are considered separate, which may impact the transit process.
I didn't think Transit is allowed in BKK. This must be two separate tickets. Not sure if you can fly to BKK to take Air India. Maybe go via Singapore to India?
