I had an Interpol Red Notice and was picked up in by Thai immigration then extradited. (For tax fraud-guilty). Because I was picked up by immigration, I was told that I am black listed for five years. (though no crimes were committed in Thailand). I am clear with my case and would like to come back to Thailand. Does anyone know why I would be blacklisted and if I can get the blacklist removed before five years? Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about being blacklisted from Thailand for five years following extradition related to an Interpol Red Notice for tax fraud, despite not committing crimes in Thailand. They seek to understand the reasons behind the blacklist and whether it is possible to have it lifted before the five-year period expires.

If you're blacklisted it is stamped on your passport and you have documents with why and how long you got blacklisted.

Sorry, but an officer told me, is not the way it works.

I see no black list stamps in my passports. Only my last 90 day extension of stay stamp.

very unlikely unless you know someone with serious clout

Possibly classified as "undesirable"

you could also contact the nearest Thai Embassy to you in the world to see if they can help you (probably won't but worth a shot)

Yikes! That's a hard question, and I don't think anyone would know off the top of their head. I recommend contact a good, real, criminal defense Thai lawyer and ask them.

you may consult an immigration lawyer to check that for you
