Planning my trip to the USA on OA visa and have a question related to the 90 day reporting. I am due for the next 90 day reporting in CM on 13 October, but will be flying out of Thailand on 16 October. Within the 7 day grace period so OK to not report? If required, I would like to try the online reporting...what is the web site? Lastly, when I am returning back into the country, if I enter at a different location for a few days in Thailand, but will be residing in CM, how do I best handle the 24 hour upon arrival in Thailand requirement. TIA.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the requirements for the 90-day reporting while holding an OA visa and planning to travel to the USA. Key points discussed include the necessity to report the 90-day stay even when leaving Thailand shortly after the reporting date, the details surrounding the TM30 reporting by landlords or hotels, and clarification that there is no grace period if one is in the country on the 90th day.
90 DAY REPORTING RESOURCES / SERVICES
Use the trusted Thailand 90 Day Reporting Serviceto get your in-person report done and mailed to you for as low as 375 THB (even if the online system doesn't work for you).

If you're staying at a hotel those first few days, the hotel will do the TM30 reporting. When you get to your home in CM, you or preferably your landlord, need to file the TM30 for where you're staying (assuming it's a privately owned condo/house). Note that Chiang Mai immigration has moved back to the location next to the airport.
Ok...thanks...I didn't think about the temporary reporting by the hotels. Yes, once I arrive back in CM, I will report my arrival at the residence of my retirement stay.
7 day grace period does not mean you don't report because you are leaving in that period. It allows you and extra 7 days to report if need be. You are still required to report your 90 day stay in your situation.
