Hello, I'm currently on a Non-O visa for marriage. I can no longer comply with the '400k in the bank' requirement. The visa will expire on June 28th. I can enroll in a BA program at a Thai university, but they will probably provide the documents to apply for an ED visa shortly after aforementioned date.
What is the best approach to bridge this short gap? I'm from The Netherlands, which allows their citizens to come back, so no Covid extension can be obtained.
Do I need to leave the country and come back as visa exempt, and apply for the ED visa after that, or is there a way I can stay?
Thanks for your input.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user on a Non-O visa for marriage is facing issues with the 400k bank requirement as the visa expiration approaches. They are considering enrolling in a BA program to apply for an ED visa but are concerned about the gap due to expiring visa. Community suggestions include obtaining a 60-day family visit extension or a COVID extension, and discussing options with their university and immigration office to find solutions without leaving Thailand.
