I arrived from UK with a non-O based on married to a Thai with the intention of getting a 12 month extension. However, I'm now too late to season the 400,000 baht for 2 months before my stamp expires. Is my only option the same as recently advised to someone in the same position wanting a retirement extension, ie a Covid extension before 28 July? Or am I also eligible for a visit family extension? And in either case would I be eligible to then move to the marriage extension when I have succeeded in opening a bank account? Thanks for any advice.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual, holding a NON-O visa based on marriage to a Thai, is unable to fulfill the bank balance requirement for a 12-month extension before their stamp expires. They inquire about options such as applying for a COVID-19 extension or a family visit extension, and whether either would allow them to later pursue a marriage extension after meeting the bank requirements. Responses indicate that a 60-day extension for visiting Thai family is an option, but a COVID-19 extension is also recommended for those facing travel difficulties.

Hi all, I have the same problem as Geoff. I have been on the immigration office today and been my money came I to late. It showed up in the bank account on May 8th, my exit stamp says July 6th, so I am two days short. If I go for a Covid extension, is it still possible to go for an one year extension after that. Furthermore the wanted to see a rental contract that has a minimum rental time of 6 months. Did somebody have the same experience?
You can get a 60 day extension of stay based on visiting Thai Family, which will let you get a one year extension of stay based on marriage to a Thai female.
However, I HIGHLY recommend getting a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19 if possible. You are only allowed ONE 60 day extension of stay based on visiting Thai Family per entry.
