Hi, I submitted my tourist visa application 60 days single entry on nov 10 via e visa portal to thai embassy in Ottawa. The application got canceled without any detailed info yesterday. I emailed them and called them too. So far nobody answered me. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions or share your experience? Can I goto the embassy in person to ask? Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shared their experience of having their e-visa application for a 60-day single entry tourist visa to Thailand canceled without a clear reason. They expressed frustration at the lack of communication from the embassy in Ottawa despite attempts to reach out via email and phone. Other commenters suggested various actions including checking the embassy's Facebook page for quicker responses, considering reapplying due to possible technical issues, and confirming the use of the official e-visa website. Many experiences highlighted the slow processing times and communication challenges associated with the Ottawa embassy. Some mentioned the possibility of going to the embassy in person for more information, though it was noted that in-person visits are no longer allowed.

I tried the Vancouver office and was informed because I reside in Ontario that Ottawa was the embassy to use.I'm extremely nervous about doing 30 day visa exemption because I'll have to lay out more money and might be refused entry.

Nor does the Thai Embassy in Ottawa allow walk-ins any longer. There is no expedited e-visa service and unfortunately their website explains that 20-25 business days is required for an e-visa. I submitted my docs Nov. 3 and was informed of my cancellation Dec. 15. I'm so sorry,

I too live near Ottawa; my 60-day Tourist visa app. was cancelled due to a clerical error on my part. I asked for a detailed explanation and received one, 15 days before my departure date. I'm now considering 30 day visa exemption. The phone is never answered, Qiang Fan.Empathy. I'd heard that the Ottawa embassy was short-staffed. We Ontarians have no recourse but to deal with this embassy, unless visa exemption chosen. This is the fourth time I've dealt with this Embassy. This is the first time I've been cancelled. Can anyone confirm the Rodtang, refused entry at TO immigration?

try Vancouver Embassy Office.

reports are all too common with Ottawa office re slow processing..the system was quite responsive prior to evisa system for either 60 day or multi entry, irrespective of history . I cannot speculate on reasons why.

Just checking that you used the official website, this one?

Try reapplying. Maybe their computer was having problems that day.

Be persistent. Thailand is a lovely place to visit.

Do they have a Facebook page? Some of the embassies are better at replying to Facebook messages
