How can I inquire about my pending 60-day tourist visa application for Thailand?

We applied for the 60-day tourist visa on October 9th. It still hasn't been processed. It's hung up on "pending document check." The payment has gone through. Is there some way we can inquire about this or work to see this completed? Our flight is scheduled for October 25th.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user applied for a 60-day tourist visa for Thailand but it has not been processed ahead of their scheduled flight. They are seeking advice on how to inquire about the status of their application. The comments suggest contacting the embassy for updates, and note that US citizens can travel to Thailand without a visa due to the 60-day visa exemption. Additionally, it was mentioned that the visa processing could align with travel dates rather than the application date.

You don’t need a visa. You get 60 days anyway when you arrive as a Us citizen and can extend for a further 30 days In Thailand

Don't need a visa, 60 day on arrival

some embassies process applications by travel date, not by date applyed.

Then the visa will be approved in tha last week before departure, in favour of the traveller.

But up to 60 + 30 days, a US citizen can go visa excempt.

yep, that's how they did mine, got it 2 days before take-off. Luckily someone on here gave the heads up or I would have been a bit anxious also! 😁

Tourist can now use 60 day Visa exempt from USA. .... no Visa required. ... just your passport and maybe a return ticket

Does that mean I can just get on the flight and then pass through customs upon arrival in Chiang Mai with my passport and return ticket?

You can try contacting the embassy you submitted your application through. They are the ones processing your application so they would be the ones that could provide a status.

We did this online. How can we find out what embassy that application went to? We are in the U.S.

On their website, it says it can take up to 15 business days. I just checked this on the embassy website. When we applied, I don't recall them asking for an embassy or being informed how long it might take. But that could've been an oversight on my part.

It also gives you this huge pop-up when you select that you are in the US.

It's literally the very first page of the application, before you even actually start entering everything. You cannot proceed until you select which embassy.

you had to select your location online and then it would link you to the consulate that represents your location. How long do they tell you it takes them to process your visa? Also remember, Monday was a Thai holiday.

when you filled out your application you had to choose a Thai embassy at the very beginning. The selection you chose is where your application went. If you followed the instructions then your embassy should match this map. If you didn't follow the instructions and chose a different embassy, your application will probably get denied.
