Hi guys . Thanks for adding me. I'm new here.

I applied for a thai tourist visa 3 weeks ago and I haven't gotten a response from the Thai embassy. My intended travel date is 28th of July 2025. I was contacted by the embassy through my agent that the photograph of my passport book needs to resent as the one I sent wasn't clear. I had to resend it alongside a copy of my passport which they accepted. That happened 5 days after submission.

They said it would take them 10 extra days to process it but I've been waiting for 3 weeks now and nothing yet. Could anything be wrong? Why could they be taking so long when in reality they only said it takes 5-10 working days. I'm so so nervous 😓 😟.

I did everything they asked for as a requirement, and I've been waiting but no answer yet.

I applied through an agent, and I'm Nigerian. I don't know why they haven't given me a response yet.

Answer summary

A user is anxious about their Thai tourist visa application, which was submitted 3 weeks ago without a response. After having to resend a photograph for clarity, the embassy indicated processing would take an additional 10 days. Given that her travel date is in July 2025, she is concerned about the extended processing time. Comments from the community advise her to stay calm, contact her agent, and note that delays can happen.

You are not about to fly yet, so relax, they obviously have the details . It's a known fact that some Embassies are more difficult and unfortunately Nigeria is one of them. Hope it's accepted very soon

They contacted you to resend a photo which you say was accepted. So they obviously have everything, relax, your travel date is over two months away.

Contact your agent, that is what you pay them for.

well maybe that's the reason but the scam nonsense is just a stereotype to spoil Nigerians everywhere. The Nigerian government also scrutinised Asian visa applications too as they also come to Nigerian to carry out drugs trafficking and fraudulent and scam activities. So I guess it's a two way street.

Darren Johnson I already did but they said the embassy hasn't given them a reply yet. Do you have any idea why they're taking so long? I'm so nervous 😓 😟

being nervous isn’t going to help. It sounds like you have provided everything they asked for. Anything anyone offers for a reason is just a guess….

That being said they have had a huge issue with scammers running through there so I would expect Nigeria to get extra scrutiny. If you don’t know why, congrats now do a search for 419 scam. 555
