I applied to the Thai eVisa since November 16th to the Thai Embassy in Ankara, Turkey, and today after I called them, I received this message even though I submitted my newest white board photograph alongside the passport photograph..

After calling them the woman answered with “your visa won’t be overlooked or out until few days before your flight departure.” my flight departure is on 28th of december

is this true? Please help or guide me with the procedures if you know anything about their eVisa policy, much thanks in advance🙏🏻.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about the delay in their Thai eVisa application submitted to the Embassy in Ankara, Turkey, as they were informed that processing may not be completed until just days before their flight on December 28. Comments from the community suggest that it's common for Thai consulates to take 10-15 business days for eVisa processing, especially if additional documentation is needed, and advise the user to be patient and avoid pressing the embassy too much during the waiting period.

Stop whining on Facebook and make a new picture in that time

Also, when they request additional documents, most Thai consulates restart the clock/time. So you might be looking at 10-15 days from when you submit your new passport photos.

The consulate in Ankara states evisa process through them will take 10-15 business days. As you mentioned, it has only be 8. Best not to annoy them and give it the proper amount of time.

Hello, what documents were sufficient for the Thai Consulate in Ankara? How old was your bank statement?

Hello there

I am not approved yet by them but bank statements are not required for the ones who live in Turkey.

"Is this true"?

If that's what they said...

I meant as: did this happen to anyone before with the Thai Embassy..

I am just concerned because today marks the 8th working day and I wanted everything to be done in advance.

It's very possible they prioritize applications based on their intended departure date. Since you're not leaving for a month, your application might just be on the back of the list, regardless of when you applied.

That's what I understood from their response anyway.

you must talk with the embassy they all run their own way. Anywhere between 4 - 12 days l have seen on here. But 7 is usually for e-visa better off going in or emailing

I did email them but it seems like they’re careless to respond on time.

I’ll call them again on friday for further details about letting the visa out asap, as the eVisa policy on the Wikipedia/Website says that I can apply within 3 months before departure.
