What should I do if my non-immigrant B visa application was rejected due to an unreadable file?

Hello. I am currently in Vientiane and my non immigrant B visa application has been bounced back as my compressed file for 'Letters from the relevant authorities' is unreadable. I used 'I Love PDF'. Does anyone know of a better free website? OR maybe I can get rid of some of the documents that have made it too large? Does the embassy really need the whole kit and kabbodle that my prospective employers have scanned for me?

Also. I am unable to edit my application even though I have followed their instructions I cannot see the option.

Will the Embassy of Thailand take walk ins if I turn up on their doorstep on Monday morning with the hard copies?

Halp 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is facing challenges with their non-immigrant B visa application due to an unreadable compressed file containing the required documents. They are seeking recommendations for better free websites to compress PDF files or options to reduce the document size, questioning the necessity of all the submitted materials. Additionally, the user is unable to edit their application online and is inquiring whether the Thai Embassy accepts walk-in submissions.

I use
@Camsc*****
for scanning documents and saving to PDF or JPEG. I'm not super tech savvy and even I have figured out how to use it without help.

the only other option I can recommend is “pdf squeezer” that is a standalone app that you have to install. It is available for Mac and iPhone.

Is it better then adobe? I just ask this as my wifi is patchy and it's taking ages to upload on tinywow.... I don't want to persevere unless it's a magician! (Adobe has struggled)

Thank you. Is it normal to only see the first page when you preview the file on their website?

I used mergepdf on my android and it worked well.never had to merge and compress pdfs before ( I'm old) and it worked seamlessly.

Is that pdf guru? My file size is 109 so is too big, it has a 100 limit. I'm old too so I am not enjoying this process. Thanks for the tip tho

@Samm ****
it was just called mergepdf, someone else recommended it here. I can't remember the limit size of my documents but it worked first attempt. Good luck 👍

no they don't take submissions in person. YOU need to find a way to get the file size small enough AND include all the required documents

you can't EDIT the application but you should have an "add additional documents" option once they sent you the request and that's the status IN the eVisa online system

GO to the eVisa website, and read the user manual

You want page 42 as it spells out how you add additional documents when requested

I believe your only physical contact with the embassy is to pay, so, no, 99% they won't take paperwork from you.

The embassy needs what they ask for.
