How can I submit high-quality documents for my DTV application within a 3MB file limit?

Hi all, I'm applying for the DTV and struggling with the 3MB file limit. I already downsized some of my files on the initial application, and they came back with 'please check document quality' comment. But there's no way I can add the requested 6 months banking history in good quality within 3MB.

What would you advise in this case?

Edit: I already compressed some of them to the smallest size using Photoshop on my initial application, but in the following request for additional info they wrote "Check your document quality". So I'm confused. How about sending the large pdfs to the embassy by email? Or by google drive and add a link in the PDF?

PDF24.. have a downloadable tool and the website. Merge the documents together. use OCR scan tool on website to make any possible font pictures a real font that takes less space. save it without color a choose the quality that finaly matches just 3MB

In true Acrobat app, there are several ways to reduce file size ... and the best is called Reduce File Size. Can't speak to other PDF apps, but most will have a searchable help menu.

That’s what I did and I have Acrobat Pro.

did you see any options that applied directly to images? Sorry I can't be more specific in instructions. I work with Acrobat for high end printing, and my version has capabilities others don't, but I can't remember what is built in and buried vs what is left out of free versions.

I think the process was: Save as -> Reduce file size

I thought I was going to have this issue but got lucky, apparently. Hopefully they consider raising file size limitations.

how did you solve it?

I can’t remember. Maybe I needed less pages than initially thought. I did compress a bit with Adobe Acrobat Pro as well. No substantive image degradation issues.

I use PDF. So far my compressed files didn't even come close to 3MB. But I'll try the tools that people mentioned here, maybe those are better at compression than photoshop.

alzip should be considered too. If you take pictures change your camera settings to lower resolution. Or try pdf scanner set to black and white 300 doing should work too
