What should I do if my hotel confirmation for a Thailand visa is delayed and my flight is approaching?

Hi, seeking advice as I am too stressed - made booking & paid for flights, insurance and paid in cash via Money trading company to AQ hotel listed under the Thai Consular Line app.

Paid 3 Nov 1.40pm and cash money was in their bank within 2hours.

Emailed everything to hotel at 2pm with complete details of air ticket and insurance and hotel money payment slip.

Hotel listed 24hours for them to provide me with Confirmation booking for my onwards application to Thai Consular... had many tearful nightmare on the phone and emails with hotel as they insist that they need 5-7days to check my payment in their bank.

I even got the transcation slip from the Money Trading agency and emailed it over on 5 Nov. I requested some flexibility as I urgently need to travel to Thailand.

They are very polite but insist that I pay for the 2nd time via credit card and then they can provide me with my booking confirmation within a few hours.

It is already 7th and my flight is on 10 Nov..

Can please advise me - Thailand pass says need to apply 7 days prior to flight and I am on 3days away and no chance of getting hotel confirmation till 8 or 9 Nov..

I am so stressed out and really tired..

I dealt with ChorCher using Line ID. Reserved room and had confirmation in half hour.

they took 5 days for me after a couple emails, and contacting through Messenger on their Facebook page.

I suggest Line or just call the front desk if you are cutting it close.

Got letter of confirmation from hotel and an acknowledgement from embassy saying my application was under approval. I have a retirement Visa and all the boxes have been ticked so l can't understand why the pass is not being granted immediately. Very stressful situation.

Just a bit of unsolicited comment from me. I am reading so many posts about the difficulties involved in travelling to Thailand. I've been a few times in the past and looked forward to returning but deffinitely removing it from my list of travel plans. It's just not worth all the stress.

I hv d same sentiments.

I am going because my partner is Thai and there are urgent matters pending.

Even told the hotel I had to travel urgetly.. they were polite BUT not professional in dealing with my case. Too bad.. 😪

I got my Thai pass yesterday ( Sunday) in 5 hours from email sent. If that helps good luck, make sure it’s gmail 👍

I paid with a credit card, and I still have not received the confirmation from the hotel, 4 days have passed, but I received the confirmation from my bank ... a real nightmare, but my flight is on November 29 from Miami ..

I just looked at my confirmation and it says nothing about the test and go package I bought on the receipt, I'm curious if that's gonna give me a problem. Only curious, not stressed, I won't allow the Thai government to stress me out.

yes I have an email letter from hotel which also states this is not a confirmed booking - not acceptable for Thai pass application.

This hotel insist they need 7 days to check my cash payment which I did on 3 Nov

Demand to speak with the hotel manager,your receipt means nothing really, convince the manager to look at the bank credits/deposits for the date and amount you paid for your booking. In 12 hrs from now it's 9am Monday morning in Thailand. Persist politely and firmly.

Day 3 of waiting for confirmation letter from ChorCher Hotel.

I sent a screenshot of my bank statement that the funds have been paid with no response to my emails.

I'll wait till Monday to start calling the front desk...very frustrating.

And the funds have been deducted from my account.

I can only imagine that it's late due to being the weekend.

Chor Cher has been an ASQ for a year now so I have some trust that they will respond, hopefully sooner than later as my flight is in 10 days.

I opted to bank transfer money to Cho Cher bank, my UK bank advised me it was safer and cheaper to pay by credit card.

I took their advice, and received a confirmation with paid stamped the next day.

Bank transfers can take up to four days.

Why didnt you just pay with credit card in the first place would of saved you some trouble.

I have only debit card and I often sent money via the trading agency as they are fast and reliable. Hotel does not accept debit card hence..

Yes I will change my flight..

Not sure if I can change the insurance without incuring any extra cost..
