I applied for the DTV at the beginning of the month, but gathering all the required documents took longer than expected. Now that everything has been submitted, I’m concerned that, with my flight coming up soon, I might not hear back until I’m already in Thailand. If my DTV gets approved while I'm in Thailand, what would be the best course of action? Should I leave and re-enter on the DTV, or is there another recommended option? Thanks for your advice!

Answer summary

The post discusses concerns about the approval timing of a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) application in relation to an upcoming flight to Thailand. The user wonders about the best course of action if the visa is approved while they are already in Thailand, specifically whether they should leave the country to re-enter on the new visa or if there are alternative options. Comments suggest that the user should indeed leave and re-enter Thailand to activate the new DTV visa.

Would it not be possible to leave later and re-enter when you need to?

You have answered your question...

Leave Thailand and reenter Thailand to activate the New DTV Visa you receive after you arrive in Thailand.
