Will booking a one-way ticket affect my non-immigrant O visa application for Thailand?

Hello everyone. I am wondering if anyone could help me please? I'm flying to Thailand with my Thai wife in August and will be applying for the non immigrant o visa for the three month extension and then when we are in Thailand applying for the year extension . My concern is we have booked one way tickets and on the TDAC form online it asks for arrival and departure details. As we only have arrival details and no departure details would this affect the online application process?. Any help would be much appreciated.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the implications of booking a one-way ticket to Thailand on their non-immigrant O visa application, specifically regarding the TDAC form's requirement for departure details. Community responses suggested that leaving the departure date blank should not hinder the application process, as many others have done so without issues. Some members discussed alternative solutions such as booking a cheap onward ticket if necessary.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

If they know you have a retirement visa, they’ll also know why you don’t have a departure date.

I always book one way . It's cheaper coming back . No uk tax

You really just need to get a QR code generated when you fill in the form to show at immigration. Saw a video on line that said the form currently accepts the departure date being left blank.

We too are travelling in late August and personally I will check then if a QR code can be generated leaving the departure field blank. If not, we’ll book tickets for less than $20 each on the onwardtravel.com travel website.

Don't ask questions about the TDAC in this group.

They don't know anything more than you. 😂

Oh just saw August 5555

Lots of teething issues with it at moment, cannot enter thailand as place of residence so cannot put a thai telephone number in hopefully have all these issues sorted before it starts.

yes, as Brandon was saying it's not started up yet and there will be some issues to iron out .

Come back in 3 months. Don't sweat it. Many expat people are going to fill out the form with zero departure info to input

I intend to stay longer but as only having one way tickets to Thailand would it affect me getting entry as I will have no departure details?

Hi Brandon. I wish it was that simple, but if all the required fields are not completed on the form would it not hinder my application?

you're asking about a form that hasn't even started being used yet for a trip 5 months away. Wait until we start getting actual reports from people, and then months for them to make any potential changes. Regardless, it's not going to affect your trip
