TLDR : Answer Summary
Entering Thailand while waiting for DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) approval is a contentious topic among users. Some commenters advise against it, citing increasing scrutiny from consulates and the risk of denial if one is found to have re-entered Thailand after applying. Others share personal experiences indicating that it may have worked for them in the past. Ultimately, the majority consensus leans towards suggesting that applicants should remain in their home country until their visa is processed.

You should wait in the country where you are applying. As Tod mentioned, more consulates and embassies are requesting additional documents to confirm that you are still in the country. What may have worked for some in the past may not work anymore...

A friend of mine applied for a NonB Visa, it did not get approved within 4 weeks, he entered Thailand on a Tourist Visa, than his NonB got approved while he was in Thailand.

He made a boarder run to Myanmar and got his NonB Visa stamped in.

Back to your question, it should work!

It is NOT okay to come here ๐Ÿ™

We are seeing more and more consulates send out an email "request for more documents" that asks you to upload all your passport pages (blank pages too) for the specific purpose of seeing IF you came back to thailand after you applied ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

People have been denied the visa

So you sit tight and wait it out ๐Ÿ™‚
