Will my stay history in Thailand affect my DTV visa application under the new rules?

Hi everyone, I have a question regarding the DTV visa and would really appreciate your input.

I’m working with an agent and all my documents have already been approved by their legal department. I just want to clarify one thing before applying:

My stay history in Thailand:

• Entered Thailand in July

• Stayed 2 months + 30-day extension

• Then did my first visa run

• My current visa ends on the 6th

All of this was before the new rules that started in November.

My question:

With the new restrictions and stricter entry rules, could my stay history cause any issues when applying for the DTV or when entering Thailand again after I receive it?

Would appreciate insights from anyone with experience. Thanks! 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification about their stay history in Thailand and its potential impact on their application for a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV). They entered Thailand in July, stayed for two months with a 30-day extension, and completed a visa run, but are concerned about new rules implemented in November. Responses indicate that similar applicants have been approved without issues, and the user is advised to communicate with their agent and ensure they understand all aspects of their visa application process.

Just another idiot using an agent. Ask the agent that is what you are throwing your money away for.

Your stay history only becomes an issue if you don't get the DTV for some reason

The agency has a legal department to approve your passport and location.

You stayed 2months plus 30 day Extension. nice, I guess without any visa.

Than did your first visa run and what type of visa did you applied for?

That the visa validity ends on the 6th is not a problem, as long as you leave before the Admitted until date stamped in your passport.

Your question is for sure answered by your agency and their legal department,

What was their answer, I do not hope it was: ask facebook as we do not know.

Thanks for the reply.

Just to clarify: everything was legal 60 days, +30 extension, and then a single visa run where I re-entered on a standard visa exemption.

I’m of course working directly with an agency, and their legal department already reviewed all my documents and confirmed high chances of success.

I’m only asking here to hear from people with similar experience under the new rules, not instead of the agency.

But yes, I will leave before my “Admitted Until” date, so that part is clear.

Anonymous participant there are NO new rules.

Funny that you have to ask Facebook as your agency with legal department have no clue.

Good luck.

Anonymous participant i wouldnt recommend HCMC. If going Vietnam i recommend Hanoi. They are a lot less strict and smoother approval process comparing to HCMC

Your travel history shows why you are getting the DTV. Similar applicants approved with no problem.

Go back to your country a little bit sooner - wait for 2 weeks at least , apply for DTV and you would be okay if you get the visa.

I am currently in Thailand.

My visa expires on December 6th.

I will leave before that to Vietnam to Ho Chi Minh as my agency recommended, and apply for the DTV there.

I just want to make sure this plan is fully fine and that my stay history won’t cause any issues in the process.

As I said , do not wait will 5th , I mean just 1 day before your visa exp date - then wait a little bit after leaving and the apply
