I’m from Germany and actually staying in Thailand till 17 Dez. Then I fly to Bali for 7 Days and return to Thailand. In this time I want to apply for the DTV with a Muay Thai course. Is it possible in this time return to Thailand and get the DTV Visa? Or can I come back to Thailand on the 24 Dez, get Visa on arrival and get the DTV E-Visa when I am already there? Thanks for helping

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, currently in Thailand, is seeking information about applying for a DTV visa (Digital Nomad Visa) while traveling to Bali. It's advised that the application for the DTV visa should be handled while in Indonesia, as one must stay there until the visa is approved. Returning to Thailand on a visa exemption and waiting for the DTV approval is not permitted, especially if documentation is requested. It is recommended to prepare an eVisa profile beforehand and upload necessary documents as soon as they reach Indonesia.

If they ask for more documentation you might have a problem if not still in Indonesia

My advice to you would be to make a profile on the eVisa online system website

upload all the documents you can now and store the application in your profile (you can store up to 10)

THEN as soon as you get to Indonesia, upload your entry stamp/visa, recent bank information and apply for the visa

Having everything "ready to go" like that is as fast as you can do it, and it should come back pretty quickly.

Apply while you stay in Bali usually not over than 5 days will get the result

don't count on it by pre booking your flights departing. Wait until the DTV visa decision is known. Then leave. They could ask for added documents or even a personal interview.

Hello, Sorry to ask Tod, but why is it not possible ? I mean is it against the law or rules of DTV visa ?

just saying what the thai consualte IN Jakarta said when they rolled the eVisa system out

If you're going to apply for a DTV which you do not in Bali but in Jakarta using the online system you have to STAY IN Indonesia until you get the visa approved (or rejected)

You can't apply and then come back to thailand on a free stamp to wait

hey bro wanted to know does the immigration will know about that this particular person has applied for DTV from third country and again back in Thailand on free stamp

it's not about Immigration knowing or not, but that the Embassy might at any time request addional prove that you're still IN the country. If you fail to comply, they will reject the application.
